Flexibility is not a prerequisite for yoga; neither is being able to touch your toes! The fact is that yoga is not about flexibility at all. Yoga is about one’s willingness to make the commitment to change. The heart of yoga is about change. Yoga is a very exciting discipline that allows us to get to know ourselves all over again. Sign up and learn basic yoga postures, Breathing Techniques, deep relaxation, proper body alignment, a bit of meditation, too.
This class is taught by Dr. Richard All certified yoga teacher:
Dr. Richard Alltizer, Phd. has been practicing yoga for several years and has played golf for nearly 30 years. He is now combining the two and has developed a sequence of yoga poses that fit the special needs of golfers, runners, gardeners and other athletes. Richard has studied Hatha, vinyasa and kundalini yoga, and completed his RYT200 certification with Yogalife. In his career as an accountant he has taught federal and state income tax at the university level for 20 years. He brings his experience and passion for teaching into the yoga room creating fun and effective classes.
Based on Iron Yoga
Combine Yoga and Strength Training
for Weight Loss and Total Body Fitness
This class is modified for all levels.
Thursdays 10:45 to 11:55am
This time-saving workout combines two popular forms of exercise into one total-body-firming routine.
Here's how it works: While you're lunging or balancing in a yoga pose, your legs and torso muscles are working hard to keep you upright, then you will Pick up your dumbbells (2 to 5 pounds) and suddenly your upper-body muscles are in on the act.
The yoga yields a stronger lower body, greater flexibility, straighter posture, and reduced stress.
The dumbbells add strength to arms, shoulders, and back; increase upper-body strength; and stronger bones. Join us!
This class is modified for all levels.
This class is taught by Tim Bondenstein, 200 hr. RYT:
Tim has been married to Sara Marie Bodenstein since January of 1998 and they have one child. He is also a presenter for various workshops around the Oklahoma Annual Conference on a variety of subjects. Tim also leads the Enid District UMW Spiritual Day. Tim is

In the workshop, we will cover the following:
*How to make modifications to yoga poses, including which props are most effective for each pose
*How to transition from pose to pose safely
* How to make modifications for yoga flow (vinyasa)
*Which poses are most beneficial for areas prone to fracture (spine, hip, wrist)
*Which poses to avoid
***IF YOU HAVE SEVERE OSTEOPOROSIS, OR IF YOU ARE RECOVERING FROM INJURIES/SURGERY AFFECTING THE SPINE, HIPS, OR WRISTS, PLEASE TALK WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE TAKING THIS WORKSHOP.***
