Because I believe so strongly in the incredible healing power of yoga, I opened the Yoga Home Of Therapeutics Studio on May 1st, 2009 in Oklahoma City. With 12 years of experience in yoga instruction and a 500 hour certification from the Yoga School of Therapeutics in Kansas City, I combine the principle tools of postures, breathing, meditation and lifestyle modifications to help others progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of yoga. I offer special focus classes to assist those suffering from pain, anxiety, depression, MS, Parkinson's Disease, Fibromyalgia, neurological diseases and patients undergoing cancer treatment.
For many, yoga offers the perfect compliment to professional medical treatment and provides a path to find peace, happiness, hope and freedom from pain, anxiety and depression. I invite you to come to our studio and look forward to working with you and your loved ones, to help experience the benefits of this 5,000 year old science.
I have also utilized many other modlities such as Therapeutic oil massages /Techniques such as Raindrop, Neuro Aricular and Emotional release and practice Reiki as a Reiki master to help my students heal. I pray for your health, healing and happiness.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your loved ones in person soon!
Love from my heart to yours,
here is my story for those who wish to know :)
In 1996 I lost sight in my left eye and became diagnosed with MS. I also developed a heart condition. All of those health issues surfaced within a few months, and I was determined to find out the root cause of my health problems. It was during the self-inquiry, meditation and yoga practice that I slowly began to see the cause of my pain. I received my Yoga Certification in 2000, regained my vision completely and have been healthy ever since.
Exploring the wonderful path of yoga has been life changing for me. My yoga practice has been a tool for me to keep coming back to the “now” of myself. I have learned that staying present with the life force that runs through us carried by our breath is the only reality we can know. Staying present and giving yourself and your loved ones the quality of your attention is the only authentic practice we can have. This is a reflection of living our yoga daily. The responsibility of teaching yoga and meditation has continued to deepen within my own practice. I am being reminded to notice divinity in the moments of our daily lives and to be aware of the pause between the breaths and the thoughts.
“Sensing the gratitude toward the gift of life and being grateful for our loved ones lives” is a quote to instill ourselves with each day. My message to the world is this: Be still and tap into your divine center. It is only in that stillness that we may feel the divine love and the support of the universe. Our value and worth are our birth right that we must honor in our heart and by our actions. Practicing yoga teaches us our human side. Yoga is an exceptional way to remind ourselves that even with our imperfections, we are enough.
